Invenzzia Group announces the launch of experimental Invenzzia PEAR channel available at pear.invenzzia.org. The channel will simplify package distribution, software updates and dependency tracking. Currently, the channel needs some further configuration, and especially - updating the package building process and specifying the packaging policy.
In the following weeks we are going to reorganize the Invenzzia website. One of the services that is going to be closed, are the old Subversion repositories which are no longer needed. The shutdown is planned to happen somewhere at the end of February 2011. Everyone who is using this repository with
svn:externals, is strongly encouraged to reconfigure his or her repository, because our SVN will be no longer accessible after this date.
So far, Invenzzia has used Subversion as its version control system. However, in the last month we decided to change it to Git and move the repository hosting to Github. In the last days, the process of moving has been finished and now you can join the project development much easier than before.
For a few last hours some of Invenzzia web services have not been working properly. The reason was our provider who moved us to the new server, and we needed to reconfigure some files. We apologize for any inconveniences.
One again I can say it is true that temporaty solutions can be really solid. About one year ago we created our first website for Invenzzia Group. Very simple, even ascetic - however, it became quite uncomfortable in maintaining and managing the articles and texts. We hope that this new website will be more accessible and simpler in use.
